Youth Apprenticeship
Grades 11, 12
Youth Apprenticeship is a unique opportunity for juniors and/or seniors to start preparing for a career while in high school. Students are simultaneously enrolled in academic classes to meet high school graduation requirements, in a youth apprenticeship related instruction class, and are employed by a participating employer under the supervision of a skilled mentor.

Interested students must apply through their school counselor and/or school-to-career coordinator. Selection is based on career interest, skills, employability, attitude, attendance, credits, grades and recommendations. This program is competitive and subject to business and industry availability. May earn up to 2 credits.
Workplace Experience
Grades 11, 12
Prerequisite: Passing all classes. If students are not passing they will not be allowed to leave early until passing.
Workplace Experience will provide students with work experience in a field related to their interests. Goals are typically set cooperatively by the student, teacher, and employer (although students are not necessarily paid). These courses may include classroom activities as well, involving further study of the field or discussion regarding experiences that students encounter in the workplace. Juniors are allowed to use only one class period per day, while Seniors are allowed 2 class periods per day. May earn up to 2 credits.
