The students in the Iola-Scandinavia School District attend school in two buildings: one building houses students in 4K-Grade 6 and the other houses students in grades 7-12. Both schools feature multiple computer labs with up-to-date technology. In 2000 the community built an addition that included a Community Fitness and Aquatic Center that is owned and operated by the school district. In the Middle/high school, grades 7-12, every student has a school-issued Chromebook. Students have access to courses from other high schools, technical colleges, and universities via The Embarrass River Valley Instructional Network Group (ERVING). The school district has a school forest with great potential for educational opportunities to be experienced by our students. The Iola-Scandinavia School District covers approximately 134 square miles of Waupaca and Portage Counties. It has a district-wide population of 3,500. It is located approximately 14 miles north of Waupaca, 20 miles east of Stevens Point, and 40 miles west of Appleton.
